Yakushi comes in as Wood Skill card that can inflict Seal and increase her Skill Power when doing so. Similar to El Topo, her Skill's properties change when you actively aim at an enemy. By default, Yakushi does a 4x Wood attack with a chance to inflict Seal. But when you target a single enemy, it becomes a 1x Strong Wood attack with a greater chance of inflicting Seal.
That said...Yakushi's Attack isn't the highest, and unless you Seal a foe, her Skill is lacking in power. The single-target option is a bit better in that regard, but it'll be difficult to get the increased damage unless the target is already Sealed. And even for just straight-up attacking, she's facing competition like Wind Tiger, Titania, and Wistaria. But Seal is always useful to have in Colo/DM...
Fortunately, Yakushi does make a fantastic Sub for any Wood Skill card! Apart from the 35% Skill Boost, you can also increase your AGI on a Straight+ and improve it to +2 on a Full House+. Very useful!
