Dungeon Summary

Relive the tale of Urashima Taro's trip to Ryugu-jo!

The Bosses Water.png Ryujin and Otohime are weak to Wood.png Claw.png and Paralysis.

Otohime has a chance to replace Ryujin as the Boss. Defeat her for extra Points!

Strategy

Wave 1 & 2

  • The following enemies will appear on the first two Waves:
  • Urashima Taro and Wandering Momotaro appear on the 1st Wave.
  • Mackerel and Crab Priest appear on the 2nd Wave.

Bosses

Ryujin or Otohime may appear as the Boss.

Ryujin

  • Ryujin's Preemptive Attack will attack the Party and inflict Debuffs.
  • His attacks can inflict Taunt as well as breaking or replacing your Shields with Damage UP!
    • He'll rarely inflict random Status Effects...this can also break Shields unfortunately.
  • Ryujin can also greatly Debuff you with some of his attacks.
  • Be careful of Debuffing Ryujin too much, as he can reverse his Negative Stats into the Positives!
  • If you manage to Paralyze Ryujin, he'll clear it and apply a Status Immunity Shield.
  • He'll also occasionally apply a 2-3 tick Iron Wall Shield.
  • Eventually, Ryujin will Buff himself +10 to all Stats and begin Charging.
    • The Charge has a few levels, with each attack being worse than the last, dealing massive damage.
    • If you manage to inflict Paralysis onto Ryujin, he'll wipe his Buffs and not attack that turn.

Otohime

  • Otohime's Preemptive Attack will attack the Party and inflict Debuffs.
  • Otohime will occasionally wipe the Party's Buffs; make sure to bring Buff cards!
  • Like Ryujin, Otohime can greatly Debuff you with some of her attacks.
  • She can inflict Blindness with some of her attacks; make sure to clear it quickly or Otohime will follow up with an extra attack!
  • Like Ryujin, Otohime will eventually Buff herself +10 to all Stats and begin Charging.
    • The Charge has a few levels, with each attack being worse than the last, dealing massive damage.
    • If you manage to inflict Paralysis onto Otohime, she'll wipe her Buffs and not attack that turn.

True Dragon King

  • The first two Waves remain the same as before.
  • Otohime appears as the Boss. There's a couple changes to her fight.
    • Her Preemptive Attack will deal 50% HP damage to the Party. She'll then Buff herself +3 to all Stats and apply an Unbreakable Wood Absorption Shield.
      • Either Paralyze her to disable the Shield or overwrite it with Damage UP. If you Paralyze her, she'll replace it with a Status Immunity Shield.
    • Try to keep Paralyzing Otohime if you can since it can cause her to waste her Turns curing herself.
    • Evasion Shields are mostly useless as many of Otohime's attacks will hit through them. Status Reflect or Immunity are much more useful.
    • Beyond that, most of her mechanics are the same. Be sure to pack quite a few Paralysis cards and watch out if she reverses her Debuffs.

Super Dragon Emperor

  • Urashima Taro and Wandering Momotaro appear on the 1st Wave.
    • They'll constantly Buff themselves and attack the Party.
    • If you leave them alive for too long, they may begin Charging up for a powerful Release attack. Paralyze them to stop it.
  • Ryujin appears on the 2nd Wave.
    • This is pretty similar to the fight on God/DK, though he does hit a bit harder.
  • Otohime appears on the Boss Wave. There's a couple changes to her fight.
    • Her Preemptive Attack will deal 99% HP damage to the Party. She'll then Buff herself +3 to all Stats and apply an Unbreakable Wood Absorption Shield.
      • She won't re-apply the Shield if you can manage to get rid of it. Either Paralyze her to disable the Shield or overwrite it with Damage UP.

Recommended Cards

  • Green Claw: Urashima Taro, Karin, Coco, etc.
  • Paralysis Cards: Tower, Pisces, Skeggjold, Vhuzompha
  • Status Reflect/Immunity: Hibiscus, Iroha, Shiranui, Hipopo, Pinoko, etc.
    • Status Immunity may be preferred for higher difficulties since the Reflected Debuffs can indirectly Buff the Bosses due to their Debuff Reversal.
