Another card in the Zodiac Series.
Essentially an upgrade over Ham Han with a small heal and inherent AoE effects. Also has considerably better buff values than most other Buff-type cards.
So long as somebody doesn't fall below 20% HP, Spica's buff values are the same and better than the majority of other Buff cards (most of which typically have either static values or work in reverse; getting stronger as your HP falls).
As such, this makes Spica a fairly strong Buff-type card. The heal is basically a small bonus; it's not terribly high, but helpful nonetheless.
|ATK/AGI Buff (HP < 20%)||0.70||0.85||1.00||1.15||1.30||1.45||1.60|
|ATK/AGI Buff (HP > 20%)||0.85||1.00||1.15||1.30||1.45||1.60||1.75|
|ATK/AGI Buff (HP > 40%)||1.00||1.15||1.30||1.45||1.60||1.75||1.90|
|ATK/AGI Buff (HP > 60%)||1.15||1.30||1.45||1.60||1.75||1.90||2.05|
|ATK/AGI Buff (HP > 80%)||1.30||1.45||1.60||1.75||1.90||2.05||2.20|
|ATK/AGI Buff (HP = 100%)||1.45||1.60||1.75||1.90||2.05||2.20||2.35|
With about a 37% Skill Boost, Spica can hit +3 in ATK/AGI so long as your targets' HP stays above 80%.
Apart from that, Spica hits +2 ATK/AGI by herself above 60% HP.
Spica is an excellent Buff card that's great for quickly flash Buffing the Party's ATK & AGI. On top of that, she also Heals the Party for a small amount.
That said, most tend to sub the Yata no Kagami on her as well as Skill Boosts and/or Status Clearing to get the most out of Spica's Skill.
|HP Condition||HP = 100%||HP >= 80%||HP >= 60%||HP >= 40%||HP >= 20%||HP <= 19%|
Unlike a lot of other Cards that tend to fall out of style or get powercreeped, Spica did a pretty good job of staying a relevant Buff Card for years. It wasn't even until fairly recently that stronger 35+ Cost Buff Cards finally began to overtake her. Fortunately, Awakening does manage to pull off some wonders for Spica. First off, her Skill is much the same as before but with extra oomph. On top of getting even stronger Buffs, Spica also now Heals for more HP as your HP decreases. This makes her a much more useful card than before as the extra Healing is pretty significant at low HP.
While she doesn't naturally offer any Shields or the sort, Spica is still a prime card for quickly Buffing the Party's ATK/AGI and getting them topped up.
Spica's sub skill is very erratic, granting anywhere from a 0-50% Skill Boost to any Ace or Buff card.
This can potentially make her a very powerful sub card, but also an incredibly unreliable one.
As such, using her is essentially gambling; the results could be very strong or very weak.
Awakening doesn't do much other than increase the Skill Boost to 10-60%.
Just to note, Spica's Awakening Skill doesn't make YOU immune to Paralysis, but rather, just makes Spica's card unaffected by the effects of Paralysis.
Can be handy since it can allow you to freely play Spica while under Paralysis. (Make sure to sub in some Status Clearing!)
Spica is the brightest star in the constellation Virgo, and the 15th brightest star in the night sky.
