Dungeon Summary
Behold the Arabian Nights!
Cardify Skills are disabled.
The Bosses Shah Zaman and King Shahryar are weak to
and Sleep.
King Shahryar has a chance to replace Shah Zaman as the Boss. Defeat him for additional Points!
Strategy
Waves 1 & 2
- Scheherazade appears on the 1st Wave.
- On the 2nd Wave, one of the following sets of enemies will appear:
- Sinbad and Roc Bird
- Aladdin and Magical Flute Sorcerer
- Ali Baba and Cave Thieves
- If you defeat the foes on the right, the left one will Heal/Buff you and then run off.
Shah Zaman
- Shah Zaman's Preemptive Attack will attack the Party for small damage and break Shields. (Can be Evaded.)
- Shah Zaman will frequently Debuff the Party and break Shields as well as greatly Buffing himself.
- His main gimmick is that he'll often apply a Fire Absorption Shield (Overwrite Disabled). Shield Breakers/Bypassers are a must! (This becomes pretty frequent once he drops below 50% HP.)
- He'll also frequently Charge up (Red Aura) and Buff himself +10 to all Stats while doing this. On the next turn, he'll perform a powerful Release attack that does heavy damage then wipe his Buffs.
- Simply inflict Sleep to dispel the Charge. This will also cause Shah Zaman to wipe his Buffs as well.
- Inflicting Sleep on Shah Zaman will often make him skip his turn by causing him to wipe his Buffs.
- However, if you inflict it 2 turns in a row, he may counterattack by breaking your Shields and greatly Debuffing you.
- He can also apply a Sustained Debuff effect that Debuffs your Stats for 2 turns.
King Shahryar
- King Shahryar's Preemptive Attack will attack the Party, break Shields, and inflict a Sustained Debuff effect that lasts for 3 turns. (Can be Evaded.)
- For the most part, King Shahryar is nastier version of Shah Zaman, with more Debuffs and some annoying attacks.
- Similar to Shah Zaman, King Shahryar will often apply a Fire Absorption Shield (Overwrite Disabled). Shield Breakers/Bypassers are a must! (Avoid using Damage UP cards at all or he'll Nuke you.)
- The Charge gimmick from Shah Zaman returns as well; simply inflict Sleep to dispel the effect and have Shahryar wipe his Buffs.
- King Shahryar will often use an attack that inflicts random Status Effects! Try to react accordingly.
General Tips
- As mentioned previously, Shield Breakers/Bypassers are a must as the Fire Absorb Shield tends to be up a lot (especially with King Shahryar). Barring that, using strong Green Slash cards can circumvent this mechanic.
- Evasion Shields can help avoid a lot of damage from both Bosses. That said, it won't totally prevent their Debuffs that come right after, so you'll still need to react accordingly.
- Status Reflect really doesn't work out, as the Bosses will break the Shields more often than not.
- Debuff Reversal/Wipe Cards can be quite handy to utilize as well, as the Bosses can get a bit Debuff-heavy at times.
- Definitely pack at least two cards that can inflict Sleep since you'll need them to keep the Bosses under control at times.
True Dragon King
- Scheherazade appears on the 1st Wave.
- Shah Zaman appears on the 2nd Wave.
- This is pretty similar to the fight on Dragon King difficulty, only he's got less HP. He's still pretty dangerous though.
- King Shahryar appears on the Boss Wave.
- Pretty much a tougher version of King Shahryar from previous difficulties.
- He's very Debuff-heavy this time around, so cards that can Reverse Debuffs are highly recommended (Queen Lady, Makura-gaeshi, etc.)
Super Dragon Emperor
- Scheherazade appears on the 1st Wave.
- Magical Flute Sorcerer, Roc Bird, and Cave Thieves appear on the 2nd Wave.
- King Shahryar and Shah Zaman appear together for the Boss Wave.
- Unlike previous difficulties, you now have to fight both Bosses at the same time!
- Their Preemptive Attack will inflict 99% HP damage and heavily Debuff the Party!
- The Bosses are very Debuff-heavy, so cards that can Reverse Debuffs are pretty much required (Queen Lady, Makura-gaeshi, etc.)
- Unlike previous difficulties, the Bosses won't counterattack if you inflict Damage UP. (Use it to your advantage...you'll need it!)
- Try to focus down one of the Bosses first to make things a bit easier. (Preferably King Shahryar first.)
Recommended Cards
- Red/Green Slash
- Sleep Cards
- Shield Breakers, or Bypassers
- Debuff Reversal/Wipe
