Creation of Heaven and Earth
A useful Debuff card, Izanami is sort of a slightly modified Ame no Uzume in that she reduces enemies' ATK and DEF as well as removing their Shields. However, the primary difference between the two is while Ame's debuff becomes more accurate upon removing a Shield, Izanami's debuff becomes much stronger instead. Izanami's debuffs are also both inherently AoE, unlike Ame whose DEF debuff requires a Straight+.
Izanami will see great use against Event Bosses with constant Shields, but she's still a pretty decent Debuffer even when enemies don't have Shields in play. She's very useful in higher difficulty dungeons, as Bosses will constantly buff themselves and often have strong Shields. She's also quite effective in Colosseum, as her debuff affects all enemies and removes any Shields they try to put up.
Sub-wise, Izanami offers 10% Damage Reduction as well as a 10% chance to avoid Status Ailments if you have a God-type card as your Ace. By itself, she's a little lacking compared to other Damage Reduction subs, though if you use a God-type card as your Ace, Izanami could be a useful sub.
|ATK/DEF- (Shield Break)||1.00||1.15||1.30||1.45||1.75||2.05||2.35|
Offers 10% Damage Reduction when the Main Card is A. If the A card also happens to be God-type, it grants an extra 10% to avoid Status Effects.
Izanami could be a useful sub if you use a God-type card as your Ace frequently. Otherwise, she's a bit lacking when it comes to other Damage Reduction subs like Amaterasu and Senjuu.
In Japanese mythology, Izanami-no-Mikoto is a goddess of both creation and death, as well as the former wife of the god Izanagi-no-Mikoto.
Interestingly enough, Izanami's evolutions follow her from a normal-looking person to her form in Yomi after eating the food of the underworld.
