Hera is quite the unusual Blue Heal card. Similar to Lapis Lazuli, Hera will first heal you for a good amount of HP and give a DEF Buff. From SL6+, Hera gains the ability to spread her DEF Buff and Heal the rest of the Party as well on Straight+ hands, with a even greater Heal on House Flush+. But much like Lapis early on, Hera suffers greatly by not being able to Heal the Party reliably (something that has become very important for higher-level difficulties). You need at least a Straight+ to even Heal the Party and at a paltry 20%, it's pretty low. Even most bizarre is the House Flush requirement which while it offers greater heals, the chances of nabbing a House Flush+ are pretty rare.
Bizarrely, Awakening does little to improve Hera, essentially leaving her Skill untouched save for a slight boost to the Self-Heal. As such, if she's the only Blue Healer if you have, Hera can work, but don't rely on her to save the day. Other Blue Healers that have come since such as Gemini and Torte greatly outshine her in most respects and even Awakened Lapis performs considerably better.
An oddly specific Sub, Hera grants a 20% Damage Boost to a card if the target is a God, but NOT a Girl.
Due to the specific conditions and Damage Boost being less than favorable for most cards, Hera's not that great of a sub.
Hera's Sub Skill gets a nice boost in that she now grants a 20% Skill Boost if the Main Card has an Attack Skill and its target is NOT a Girl.
To add to that, for every Girl card in the played hand, you get an extra 4% Skill Boost on top of that (up to 20%).
This makes Hera a pretty great Sub for Attackers as Girl cards are fairly common, so getting an extra boost isn't too hard.
Grants a very useful 50% reduced chance of receiving Status Effects if Hera is played in a hand.
Hera is the wife and one of three sisters of Zeus in the Olympian pantheon of Greek mythology and religion. Her chief function was as the goddess of women and marriage.
