Dungeon Summary

Something's afoot in the Strange Forest...

The Bosses Fire.png Frankumastein and Black Riding Hood are weak to Water.png Bite.png and Blindness.

Black Riding Hood has a chance to replace Frankumastein as the Boss. Defeat him for extra Points!

Strategy

Wave 1 & 2

  • The following enemies will appear on the first two Waves:
  • Hansel & Gretel and Demon Hunter Red Riding Hood appear on the 1st Wave.
  • Blood-Sucking Rabbit and Werefox appear on the 2nd Wave.

Bosses

Frankumastein

  • Frankumastein's Preemptive Attack will first Debuff the Party and then attack, breaking your Shields.
  • Frankumastein can inflict random Status Effects and Damage UP! Be careful.
  • If you Debuff Frankumastein too much, he'll wipe his Buffs. (On higher difficulties, he'll Reverse them instead!)
  • If you Blind Frankumastein, he won't attack, but he'll clear his Status by increasing his ATK and lowering his DEF/AGI.
    • He'll then apply a Status Immunity or Status Reflect Shield; These can and should be broken.
  • Eventually, Frankumastein will Buff himself +10 to all Stats and begin Charging (Red Aura).
    • This has 2 Levels and the Release Attack gets stronger with each Charge.
    • If you Blind Frankumastein, he'll wipe his Buffs and not attack that turn.
    • Otherwise, he'll unleash a strong Release attack every turn that deals heavy damage.
    • The 1st Release attack will do heavy damage; afterwards, he'll wipe the Party's Buffs and self-apply Iron Wall.
    • After the 2nd Release attack, Frankumastein will wipe his Charges and Buffs.
  • Avoid applying Damage UP effects or Frankumastein will counterattack with multiple attacks!
    • On higher difficulties, this can be potentially fatal. Avoid at all costs.

Black Riding Hood

  • Black Riding Hood's Preemptive Attack will first Buff the Party and himself and then attack, breaking your Shields.
    • His Preemptive Attack deals increased damage if you have a Shield on.
  • Unlike Frankumastein, Black Riding Hood is far more annoying to deal with.
  • Most of his attacks can Debuff and he'll occasionally inflict Confusion or Charm.
  • Black Riding Hood will also occasionally apply an Iron Wall Shield. Shield Breakers are very useful here.
    • His Iron Wall appears to have multiple ticks (usually 5); Multiply Enhance cards are recommended if you can't Shield Break.
  • Inflicting Blindness will cause Black Riding Hood to Debuff himself. He'll also typically put up Iron Wall as well.
    • There doesn't appear to be a counter for constantly applying Blindness.
  • He can also Absorb the Party's Buffs!
    • Most turns, he'll Buff himself and the Party...getting ready to Steal all those Buffs away.
    • Once the Party's Stat Total becomes 60+, Black Riding Hood will then Steal all the Party's Buffs and transition into his Charge phase.
  • Eventually, Black Riding Hood will Buff himself +10 to all Stats (and greatly Debuff the Party -10 to all Stats) and begin Charging (Red Aura).
    • This has 2 Levels and the Release Attack gets stronger with each Charge.
    • If you Blind Black Riding Hood, he'll wipe his and the Party's Stats and not attack that turn.
    • Otherwise, he'll unleash a strong Release attack every turn that deals heavy damage.
    • After the 2nd Release attack, Black Riding Hood will wipe his Charges and Buffs.

True Dragon King

  • Hansel & Gretel and Demon Hunter Red Riding Hood appear on the 1st Wave.
  • Blood-Sucking Rabbit and Werefox appear on the 2nd Wave.
  • Black Riding Hood appears as the Boss.
    • Unlike Previous Difficulties, Black Riding Hood's Preemptive Attack will deal massive (if not fatal) damage if you have a Shield active. Avoid having a Shield active going into the Boss Fight or suffer greatly!
    • Black Riding Hood now has a Counter Attack if you Blind him two turns in a row. It'll deal pretty heavy damage. (Doesn't break Shields, but is guaranteed to hit.)
    • Black Riding Hood still has his Charge and Release attacks...however, Blinding him won't reset his and your Stats now, so you will need to pack Debuff Reversing cards to counter.
    • Damage Reduction and Iron Wall Shields are very effective against his Release attacks as well as some of his other attacks.

Super Dragon Emperor

  • Hansel & Gretel and Demon Hunter Red Riding Hood appear on the 1st Wave.
  • Frankumastein appears on the 2nd Wave. (Preemptive)
    • This is pretty similar to the fight on Dragon King difficulty.
    • He hits pretty hard, so make sure to stay Healed up going into the Boss Fight.
  • Black Riding Hood appears as the Boss.
    • Black Riding Hood's Preemptive Attack will greatly Buff the Party and himself and attack the Party for high damage. He'll also apply a Damage Reduction Shield.
      • The Preemptive Attack will INSTANTLY KILL you if you have a Shield active. Avoid having a Shield active going into the Boss Fight at all costs!
      • For this purpose, you may want to forego any Cards with Sustained Shield effects like Hibiscus, Star, etc. to prevent any accidents from occurring.
    • Black Riding Hood hits pretty hard, so try to keep his ATK Debuffed if at all possible.
    • As with TDK, he has a nasty Counter Attack if you Blind him two turns in a row. (Doesn't break Shields, but is guaranteed to hit.)
    • That said, Cards that can inflict Blindness are a must to dispel his Charges.
    • Damage Reduction Shields and Iron Wall are very effective against his Release attacks as well as most of his other attacks.
      • While Status Reflect seems more valuable to use for preventing Debuffs/Status Effects, Damage Reduction Shields and Iron Wall do much more to protect you in this fight than anything else.
    • Also of note, Black Riding Hood has no Flush Counter to speak of, so use that to your advantage.
