Gemini comes into a unique position as a Blue Healer who can not only heal the Party, but also sufficiently act as a Buffer. Much like Konohana No Sakuya and Arcadia, Gemini's heals grow stronger the less HP% its targets have.
But Gemini's real gimmick is being able to buff the Party's ATK and DEF should a Red and Blue card be present in the hand, Gemini excluded (which isn't that hard to pull off in a 5-card hand). Furthermore, the buff can be increased further through Enhance cards. As such, this makes Gemini an amazingly useful card to have, acting as a 2-in-1 Healer and Buffer. Even if you can't get the buff to activate, Gemini's heals are still quite strong. (And this isn't even going into the varied sub card effects you can add on to Gemini to make it even more useful such as Status Clearing.)

While Gemini was pretty great on release, the Duo have since fallen on hard times as more and more powerful Cards came out and eclipsed them. Fortunately, Awakening does breathe some new life into them, making them significantly more useful than before. Now their ATK/DEF Buffs are baked-in, no longer requiring a Red & Blue card to be present. But if you do have Red & Blue cards present in the hand, the Buffs do get stronger, making it a nice bonus. Otherwise, their Heals are exactly the same, which isn't totally a bad thing. Now they somewhat compete with Mikuru, who is fairly similar but can Buff all Stats. Regardless, Gemini is still pretty great for strong Heals and nice ATK/DEF Buffs.
Sub-wise, Gemini grants either +1 ATK or DEF, with a small chance of granting both. It makes Gemini quite useful as a sub for other Support cards, though it's generally much better off as a Main Card.
Awakening makes Gemini a significantly better Support Sub! Now they give a 25-30% Skill Boost as well as +1 ATK/DEF. They can work well with quite a few cards!
Just to note, Gemini 's Awakening Skill doesn't make YOU immune to Paralysis, but rather, just makes Gemini's card unaffected by the effects of Paralysis.
Can be handy since it can allow you to freely play Gemini while under Paralysis.
