Forest Lord gets a bit of a rework for his Skill. It first applies an Iron Wall + Counter Shield to yourself, but if you manage a Straight+, then your DEF increases as well.
Then it attempts to apply Iron Wall to the rest of your Party, with it also increasing their DEF by 1 on a Straight+. This makes Forest Lord come across as a slightly weaker Gigas without the Heals, but the initial Iron Wall + Counter Shield is guaranteed on yourself, and his Awakening Skill makes him a decent card to use for the Preemptive Iron Wall.
Offers a nice Skill Boost to Shield skills by 20% on a Straight+.
Not bad by any means, though the best subs for Shield cards are usually something other than Skill Boosts.
Similar to before, but now the Shield Boost becomes unconditional. Now on a Straight+, you'll recover 5% HP.
Again, not necessarily a bad Sub Skill, but its usefulness is limited to few Shield cards such as Gigas, Kidomaru, and Forest Lord himself. The extra Heal is a nice touch though.
Pretty much the same as Garnet and Athena's Awakening Skill, it applies Iron Wall to yourself before entering a Boss Fight. Very useful on higher difficulty dungeons for preventing damage from a Boss' preemptive attack.
