Judgment of the Three Domains
The first of the series of elemental attackers, Flame Lord joins his brothers in being frankly uninteresting. The nature of elemental attackers is almost universally one of being mostly useless and very powerful against one particular element, but succeeding elemental type cards have the benefit of other effects letting them offer potential use even against targets not that one element.
As the original series, these cards do little except damage, and combined with the great difficulty in actually procuring sub cards for these means that it's difficult to use them. Flame Lord, however, stands out amongst this with the shortage of green-colored events, meaning targets worth taking a single-element killer for wood cards are rare to say the least.
Nonetheless, he is his own best sub and a useful sub for other, better elemental attackers, so if you want to play element cards grabbing him may be useful.
SL1-5: 1x Strong Fire-elemental attack
SL6+ 1x strong Fire-elemental attack (on Straight+, add 1x Fire-elemental Hit attack)
- Elem Mod for Hit Attack is 1.75x
Flame Lord gets an improvement in that now his Skill gains more power the more Red cards (other than your own) are in the played hand.
|# of Red Cards||0||1||2||3||4|
- Fire Attack Elem Mod is 3.8x
- Hit Attack Elem Mod is 1.75x
- On House Flush+, executes 2x Fire-elemental Hit attacks instead of 1.
There's not much to say about this; it is the best skill boost, and thus general sub card, for elemental attackers. About the only thing that can be said is arguably Flame Lord is more valuable for flame-elemental attackers, as it is very difficult to obtain other elemental subs, even worse ones- however at the same time less valuable generally, as there are also few worthwhile elemental attackers.
