Fimbul's been a sort of weird card; his Skill's actually pretty solid with it being a 3x Stab attack with a chance to imbue his attacks with Water. However, a nasty drawback is the small chance to self-inflict Taunt. Thankfully, this only has a chance to occur if Fimbul's attacks get imbued, but it's still a thing that can happen.
That said, bigger and better Blue Stab cards eventually appeared making Fimbul redundant or outdated. (Especially given that Fimbul's just a pure damage dealer.) Fortunately, Awakening does manage to help bring him back up to par and then some. Now his 3x Stab attack is always imbued and with his nice Stat Boost, makes for a very powerful attacker (especially with the 4 Orb Slots, jacking his Attack up to 1952). However, the chance to self-Taunt is ever present, so exercise some caution when using Fimbul.
In Norse mythology, Fimbulvetr, commonly rendered in English as Fimbulwinter, is the immediate prelude to the events of Ragnarök. It simply means Mighty Winter".
