Deus comes in as an interesting Red Hit card. By default, she executes a 5x Fire-imbued Hit attack that has a chance to inflict Paralysis. However, the downside is that each attack only has 50% Accuracy. Fortunately, Deus has a gimmick to get around that; by targeting a single foe, she instead executes a stronger 1x Fire-imbued Hit attack with a much higher chance to Paralyze. (Essentially trading in damage for a more accurate attack and higher chance to Paralyze.)
As such, if you can work around Deus' Accuracy issues, she can pump out some major damage on Green foes. Alternatively, if inflicting Paralysis or having a more accurate attack is more important, you can opt for the single attack instead. If you happen to have Xiao as a Sub, Deus can greatly benefit to keep her attacks from missing!
Grants an unconditional 30% Skill Boost for any Hit Card.
But for every +1 ATK, you get an extra +2% Skill Boost & +1% Accuracy. (Up to +10% Skill Boost/5% Accuracy)
An excellent Sub for any Hit card.
[Deus ex machina] is a Latin calque from Greek ἀπὸ μηχανῆς θεός , meaning 'god from the machine'. The term has evolved to mean a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem is suddenly and abruptly resolved by the inspired and unexpected intervention of some new event, character, ability or object.
