Before awakening, Delice is a decent, if mediocre Water-elemental attacker. Great in the early game and relatively easy to Skill Up during The Dragon's Den event in which you get him, but pales in comparison to the GOD-rarity Water-elemental cards available.
Awakening does give Delice a nice stat boost and some nice extra effects, however. The first of these is a high chance to reduce a foe's DEF; always useful against enemies who love to Buff. The second is being able to destroy Shields and deal increased damage. This is worth particularly noting, as a number of Fire-element Event Bosses love to slap Shields on themselves. Also helping things is Delice's Awakening Skill which grants an additional 15% Skill Boost when there's more than one Blue card in the played hand (other than your own) and 4 Orb Slots to play with.
Sub-wise, Delice is a little lacking. While a 35% Damage Boost is pretty nice, considering it requires a Blue Main Card and a Wood target makes it somewhat undesirable. A Blue card isn't going to be doing a lot of damage against a Green card in the first place, and trying to match it on Skill Icon is an even worse idea. Awakening makes it a little bit better, granting a straight 20% Damage Boost if the Main Card is Blue, but still retains the 35% boost vs Green targets.
That said, Delice has some issues. While Awakening makes him quite usable, the required materials for Awakening can be a pain to get (it doesn't help that you need two(!) DRA Rings) and even at Max Level, Awakened Delice comes up a little short stat-wise compared to most 30-cost cards. (This is semi-mitigated by Orbs; but worth noting nonetheless.) Then of course, the standard Elemental attacker issues persist, making Delice only really useful against Fire enemies.
Skill Power increases to 1.6x on Shield Destruction.
DEF Debuff is -2 with an 80% chance to hit.
Grants 35% Damage Boost against Green targets when the Main Card is Blue.
It's a pretty nice boost, but Water cards deal less damage to Wood cards.
Almost the same as before, but now just adds a passive 20% Damage Boost just for having the Main Card be Blue.
