Prayer of Good Fortune
Another of the myriad of Green Shield cards, Clover doesn't seem like anything particularly special at first glance, but she certainly has her uses.
Clover offers up a 3-tick Damage Reduction Shield to the Party, but what sets her apart from other Shield cards are her other effects. For starters, the Shield also offers Increased Healing received; quite useful for more powerful heals. But Clover's true niche probably lies in that her Shield is guaranteed to be applied if her target already has a Shield effect active. While that may sound like a bad thing, it's actually a direct counter to those pesky Damage UP effects that several bosses utilize. As such, Clover is quite useful against bosses who love to take advantage of those effects.
|INCREASED HEAL BONUS
- If a target already has a "Shield effect" (Immunity/Shield/Counter/Damage UP, etc) active, the Shield has a 100% application chance for them.
Frankly, it's terrible. With only a 20% chance to activate and heal only 5% HP, it's not very reliable.
Given other extra heal subs exist and are much more reliable, Clover doesn't make for a good sub.
Clover is that of a homunculus; popularized in sixteenth century alchemy and nineteenth century fiction, it has historically referred to the creation of a miniature, fully formed human.
