Fortify! Robot Battalion!!
Part of the Mech 2.0 series, Bivouac is a (potentially) powerful Wood-elemental attacker.
Against Blue targets, Bivouac is a force to be reckoned with, boasting powerful Wood-elemental attacks that have a chance to inflict Confusion. Bivouac's gimmick is that he gains additional attacks based on the number of Green (Wood-type) cards in the played hand. By default, this is at least a two-hit attack (Bivouac actually includes itself in the Skill), though it can reach a maximum number of six attacks.
That said, Bivouac does have some flaws. The standard elemental problems persist of course, but getting the extra attacks is completely up to what your Party plays, making it hard to reach Bivouac's maximum damage potential.
For every Wood-type card in the played hand, Bivouac gets an additional attack tacked on to his main skill, up to a maximum of 6 attacks.
Adding to this, Bivouac also has the chance to inflict Confusion with his attacks.
- When there are 4 Green Cards in the played hand, increases # of attacks executed to 5.
- When there are 5 Green Cards in the played hand, increases # of attacks executed to 6.
Awakening does wonders for many Cards, but the newly dubbed "Giga Bivouac" was truly blessed upon Awakening as it gets many fantastic improvements. First off, Bivouac's Skill gets an incredible improvement by making him a 4x attacker by default! But if that weren't enough, he still retains his previous gimmick albeit a bit revised. Should you have 4 or 5 Green Cards in the played hand (including Bivouac), then it can execute a 5x or a 6x attack! For an Elemental Card, that's pretty nuts.
On top of that, Bivouac got a juicy Stat Boost which increased his Attack to 1791 (and well over 1940+ with Attack Orbs)! This now makes him a pretty serious contender for the strongest Wood Skill Card along with Wind Tiger. Even without getting the 4x/5x Attacks, Bivouac still hits amazingly hard and is up there now with some of the Elemental Whale Cards (Amaterasu (The Sun) and Wistaria).
Bivouac's sub skill is much like his Main Skill; completely dependent on Wood-type cards in the played hand for an extra boost.
While limited to cards with a Wood-elemental Skill, it's a pretty powerful sub skill. But as noted, its power is completely at the mercy of your Party.
Awakening just increases the base Skill Boost to 25%, but otherwise remains the same. Of course, it now clarifies a maximum 45% Skill Boost though that's pretty hard to get.
Thought Bivouac wasn't strong enough already? He gets an extra 15% Skill Boost just for having 1 other Green Card in the played hand (that isn't yours).
A bivouac shelter is any of a variety of improvised camp sites such as those used in scouting and mountain climbing. It may often refer to a shelter constructed of natural materials like a structure of branches to form a frame, which is then covered with leaves, ferns and similar material for waterproofing and duff (leaf litter) for insulation.
