Mercury comes in as the sort of Blue Stab version of Venus. She utilizes a 5-7x Stab attack that can break Shields. But her gimmick truly lies in her Stat Debuff. Like some other Shield Breakers, Mercury can greatly reduce the Stats of any target's Shield she breaks, which then allows her to deal more damage (as her damage increases as the target's Stat Total falls into the Negatives). With proper Subs, you can get her to inflict around -4 to -6 to all Stats!
As mentioned above, evolving Mercury is the only way to increase her Skill Lv. But that said, even just having one Copy of Mercury is honestly good enough. The base version is well and above most Blue Stab cards and evolving her only serves to just bump up her Main and Sub Skills a bit. (So don't feel the need to Whale in order to evolve her.) There aren't many analogs to Mercury though; Shield Breakers for Blue Stab do exist, though they can't put out this level of firepower. Given her capabilities, Mercury is a pretty solid card and Bosses with Shields are pretty frequent.
Skill Boost increases as Mercury's Skill Lv increases.
