- 100% Chance to self-apply Strong Counter + Damage Reduction Shield when you single-target a foe. Shield lasts for the duration of the Turn.
Invoking shades of Accelerator (Black Wing) and Karin (Wrestler), Ottar & Freya have a 5x Non-Elemental Slash attack with a 50% chance per attack to inflict Damage UP. That said, they're not quite as OP as Accelerator, but they're still quite effective against almost any Slash-weak foe. Ottar & Freya can also self-apply a Strong Counter + Damage Reduction Shield when you single-target a foe. This particular Shield lasts for the duration of the Turn, making it very handy against high-damaging foes (or if you're lacking a Shield at least).
Sub Skill
A VERY random and unpredictable Sub for any Slash card. Ottar & Freya give a 0-50% Skill Boost to any Slash card.
If you target a single foe, the Minimum Skill Boost increases to 20% but you incur 5% HP Recoil damage; a decent trade off for more stability.
However, the secondary effect is what makes this sub truly good. It allows any attacks executed to not miss their target.
As such, it's a bit of a godsend for cards like Sherry, Vermouth, and Girim (Circus).
They get a major boost in that their # of attacks become stable at the cost of a very random Skill Boost.
Also worth noting that the Skill Boost is randomized per attack, so your results will vary.
